Life Without

Life has never been easy,
Life has never been fair,
But in my life,
I want you to be there,
Because it shows me You care,
What will I be?
What can I do?
Where will I go without?
Lately Life is all I’ve been thinking about,
And what it means to have,
Is Life worth living without?
It’s something I truly doubt,
To me it’s just existing, suffering and going through the motions,
A feeling like trying to stay afloat in the middle of the ocean,
Without a Life jacket,
The tide is weighing you down,
All I know is I don’t want to drown,
Or be the prey for the sharks around,
Wishing my feet were on solid ground,
No matter what I have, what I’ve done, or accomplished,
Because it’s all meaningless without,
The thought of losing family, friends, or anything else,
Coping with having life without in prison,
I was still bound and hopeless without Life,
Until I kneeled down, praying to be found,
Realizing I can’t do anything,
And I’m nothing, but lost without You,
The Way, the Truth, and the Life, Jesus Christ….
